Voice Mail Quick Start Guide

Introduction

With Microsoft Cloud Voicemail you have access to voicemail on your Skype for Business desktop phone.  You also have access to your voicemails in Microsoft Outlook.

Steps

Integration with Email

Microsoft Cloud Voicemail allows voicemails to be integrated with your email.  This means that when you receive a voicemail it will not only show on your phone, but you will also receive a message in your Exchange Inbox containing the voicemail.  This means that while you are away from your desk, you will no longer miss the voicemails that are important to you.

Accessing Voicemail in Outlook

  1. When a voicemail is received, it will be displayed as a normal email would, with the exception being the inclusion of a media interface.
  2. Click the play button within the message to play the voicemail over your PC speakers.

Change Voicemail Options

  1. Log in to Voicemail Setting:  https://aka.ms/vmsettings

Change your Personal Greeting

  1. Access your voicemail using your phone or Skype for Business client.
  2. Choose Option 2
  3. Choose 1 for Personal Greeting
  4. Follow the system prompts to record and save your greeting

Change your Out of Office Greeting

  1. Access your voicemail using your phone or Skype for Business client.
  2. Choose Option 2
  3. Choose 2 for Out of Office Greeting
  4. Follow the system prompts to record and save your greeting
  5. Log in to voicemail settings (https://aka.ms/vmsettings) and select when you would like your Out of Office greeting to be played.
