Academic Software for ISU Students

Introduction

Indiana State University partners with multiple software vendors to provide access to academically discounted software for its Students and Faculty. Some applications are available for free, others for a significant discount off retail prices. The purpose of this article is to provide a central location for information about how to get many of these applications. For other program specific applications not included in this list, seek additional information from your instructor.

NOTE: End User License Agreements and Academic or Education versions of software usually limit the use or output to non-commercial and non-production purposes. Be sure you are using the right license type for your use of the software. If you have questions, please contact the OIT help desk for help clarifying allowed uses of software.

Additional Information

End User License Agreements (EULA) for these applications change depending on the individual user’s status as a student or faculty member. Separation from the University will impact the agreement and may prevent access to applications after separation. Several partners require annual proof of eligibility to continue to use the software at free or reduced pricing. You should carefully review the EULA to better understand your eligibility to use applications acquired based on your current affiliation with the University.

Contractual relationships with vendors change regularly. This article is reviewed every semester for currency. Relationships and contracts with vendors may change in the interim. If you need additional information, help installing software, or software you need for coursework is not listed here please contact the OIT Help Desk at 812.237.2910, email IT-Help@indstate.edu or contact your instructor or adviser.
