Purpose
This document is intended to guide users on how to properly utilize YuJa Web-conference for the best viewing experience.
Application
This standard applies to anyone using YuJa Web-Conference at Indiana State University.
Standards
Below are the minimum standard specifications for hardware and software needed to run the YuJa web-conference software.
1. Minimum Requirements - Desktop
- Operating System: Windows 8.1, and Windows 10 (both 32 and 64 bit versions)
- OIT recommends Windows 10
- Mac OS 10.10 or higher
- Internet Connection with 1.5 Mbps
- 2.0GHz Dual Core Processor or higher
- Memory (RAM): 2 GB RAM (Recommended: 4 GB)
- HardDisk:100MB for install (approximately250MB per hour of content for temporary storage)
- In good working condition
- Administrator account access*
*All personal computers will provide this by default. If your computer is owned by your employer or other entity, you may not have an Administrator account.
2. Minimum Requirements - Browser
- Chrome -Versions 65+
- Firefox–Versions 59+
*The Video Conference tool is not yet supported on Safari, Edge, or Internet Explorer versions.
3. Best Practices
- Use a USB headset and noise cancelling microphone.
- To preserve the best meeting quality, the Video Conference does not allow more than 6 presenters at once.
- The Video Conference performance works best when no more than 200 attendees are in the conference at once.
- Because the Video Conference is browser based, attendees and hosts should keep the amount of open browser tabs to a minimum while the Video Conference is in session.
- For best CPU performance, attendees and hosts should keep the amount of other programs running to a minimum while the Video Conference is in session
