OneDrive File Storage for Students

Introduction

The Office of Information Technology strongly recommends that students use their 1 TB of OneDrive Cloud Storage to save all of their important files.

Features

  • Cloud data storage is one of the best ways to protect important files.
  • Allows you to have access to your files from any computer or device which will connect to the internet.
  • Microsoft offers a OneDrive app that will allow you to sync files to your hard drive and allow for offline editing when needed.
  • Ideal for collaborating with other students on group projects.

To access your OneDrive, go to portal.office.com and log in with your University email address and password.

Considerations

OneDrive storage is a benefit for current students, staff, and faculty.

Alumni will lose access to their University OneDrive Storage after graduation.

Students who withdraw or do not enroll in future semesters without graduating will keep access to OneDrive for about a year. (Actual time is based on the academic schedule and can vary slightly.)  Once access has been removed, Microsoft will delete the content and it cannot be recovered even if the student re-enrolls.
