Student Printing Quick Start Guide

Introduction

Indiana State University has provided fourteen (14) Print Release Stations for student printing. To use the printers, students need to install the printing software on their laptop. Files can be sent to these printers in the same way as standard printers, however print jobs will be held in the queue until the student visits one of the fourteen (14) Print Release Stations and instructs the machine to print the job.

Print Allotment

Students receive a print allotment at the beginning of each semester in which they are enrolled. Allotment that is left in the account at the end of the semester will roll-over from Fall to Spring and from Spring to Summer. However, at the end of the Summer semester, all print account allotments will be reset to zero.  There are no refunds for unused student printing allotments.

  • Undergraduates receive $20 (650 b/w pages)
  • Graduates receive $30 (1000 b/w pages)

Print Jobs

Print jobs will be held in the queue for 24 hours.  After the time limit is expired, print jobs are deleted automatically.  Deleted jobs are not charged.

Printer Locations

Printers are located in academic buildings and common use buildings like the Library and HMSU. Look for the large blue signs that say "Student Printing Station”. A detailed location of printer locations can be found at: Student Printer Locations
