Description

Instructional tools provide a combination of comprehensive services and resources to assist instructors with effective learning and course success. We offer training on the following tools:

Canvas

Canvas is a powerful online course development, delivery, and management tool. Canvas provides tools for maintaining grades, creating and grading online quizzes, providing access to course materials, facilitating communication through conferencing and web based chat, managing students and student groups, and exchanging files.

Canvas Studio

Canvas Studio is a powerful, easy-to-use media tool that is directly integrated in Canvas. Instructors and students can create, edit, manage, and share audio and video files. Instructors can use Studio to embed in-video assessment questions. 

Qwickly

Qwickly is a tool used to track attendance that can be automatically graded in the Backboard Grade Center. Qwickly has man features such as grade center integration, custom email alerts, attendance record, and attendance statuses.

Respondus LockDown Browser

Respondus LockDown Browser is a custom browser that locks down the testing environment within Blackboard courses. When instructors enable LockDown Browser for examinations, students are unable to print, copy, go to another URL, or access other applications during an online test. 

TurnItIn

TurnItIn is a plagiarism detection application for instructors to ensure high quality, original written work. Some features include originality reports, GradeMark for electronically grading, and PeerMark for peer review.

YuJa

YuJa is a video platform that offers lecture capture, live streaming, media management, video classrooms, and immersive social learning tools. YuJa offers capture through software, hardware, browser-based, and mobile.

Due to the high volume of requests received during start of school, we do not schedule appointments during the first week of any term. Please remember to schedule in advance. 

Constraints/Scope 

We support all faculty, staff, and current students during the Technology Support Center’s hours of operation.
