Network Jack - Request Activation

Description

Request a network jack that is currently not working in a location to be activated.

Standard Features

  • Provides wired network connection for devices in offices, labs and classrooms.

SLA:  You can expect this service to be completed in 2 business days.

Scope/Constraints

Network jacks can be activated for use by users.

Students / Faculty / Staff may request jacks in Residential Halls.

Faculty / Staff may request jacks in Academic / Admin buildings. Student workers must have a sponsoring Faculty / Staff member approval.

Blue jacks are reserved for Telephone Services.

Limit of one jack per office per policy – see policy (LINK) charges may be incurred.

Directions 

Users should test check jacks to determine if the jack is already active, before submitting the request.
