Hardware Upgrade (E.g., Hard Drive, RAM, etc.)


This service is used to request a hardware upgrade for your computer.  This will include a consultation for hardware review, suitability, and funding requirements, in addition to the actual hardware installation.

Standard Services and Features

Hardware Review

  • An OIT staff member will review the current specs of the device
  • Determine if hardware is capable of accepting an upgrade.
  • Determine if there are program requirements to consider.
  • Discuss funding requirements for upgrade.


  • A request will need to be submitted to review the requested changes


  • The Technology Support Center (TSC) will provide a technician to install your upgrade.All upgrade services will be performed at the TSC.

SLA:  You can expect this service to be completed in 10 business days.

Constraints and Scope

Certain types of hardware are unable to be upgraded.  Examples include iPads, all-in-one tablets, and certain Apple laptops / desktops.


Faculty and Staff may fill out the form or contact the Technology Support Center to start your request. Students must visit the Technology Support Center for assistance.
