OIT Tech Enhanced Classroom |
General purpose classrooms and lecture halls. These rooms typically consist of a podium with computer and laptop connections, Touchscreen monitor and one or more projectors. Room scheduling is done through the Registrar's Office.
All Classroom, Lecture and Auditorium designations can be reserved through the Registrar by using the Astra scheduler.

OIT - Distance Origination Classrooms |
Conferencing enabled classrooms. These rooms typically consist of a podium with computer and laptop connections, Touchscreen monitor, LED displays or projectors, student & instructor cameras and microphone arrays. Room scheduling is done through the Registrar's Office.
Example rooms are: Arena C019, Myers Tech 111 University Hall 107

Discipline Classrooms & Laboratories* |
Rooms or spaces characterized by special purpose equipment or a specific configuration that ties instructional or research activities to a particular discipline or a closely related group of disciplines. Room scheduling is done by department of ownership.
Example rooms are: Technology Annex 137, Arena 126, Holmstedt Hall 021, Science 213

These rooms are secondary support based on availability of personnel and room. ETS maintains the AV equipment and computers by request. Departments of ownership are responsible for all incurred costs. |
VIP Conference Rooms* |
These are conference rooms in President, VP and Dean's level areas.
Examples of VIP rooms are: Federal Hall 222,
Myets Technology Center 101-G and Parsons Hall 210

Departmental Conference & Seminar Rooms* |
Conference rooms in departmental spaces. Room scheduling is done by department of ownership.
Example rooms are: Holmstedt Hall 280, Arena A201 or University Hall 215.

Distance and Collaborative Learning Classrooms |
Conferencing enabled classrooms. These rooms blend in-room collaboration and distance capabilities. Student seating consists of 5 collaboration tables with monitors that allow for group work and content sharing from each pod. Cameras ring the room for distance applications using the podium computer and room projector.

Departmental Distance Origination Classrooms |

Rooms tend to vary based on time of installation and budget. Room scheduling is done by department of ownership.

Events Space* |
Rooms or spaces characterized by special purpose equipment or a specific configuration that is mainly for non-academic presentation purposes. Room scheduling is done by department of ownership.
Examples rooms are: Library Events Area, HMSU Banquet Center, Heritage Ballroom, Federal Hall Magna Carta Room

Event spaces typically have a non-OIT level of technical support. These rooms are secondary support based on availability of personnel and room. ETS maintains the equipment and computers by request. Departments of ownership are responsible for all incurred costs. |
* All Discipline/Departmental rooms should be accompanied by a Memo of Understanding (MOU). Support protocols, equipment repair/refresh cycles and software costs should be documented with OIT-ETS
