Introduction
Respondus 4 supports the publishing of test questions directly to Canvas New Quizzes starting from version 4.1.0.02. In addition, institutionally preconfigured Canvas server is no longer required. Users are expected to configure Canvas server settings manually. This configuration only needs to be done once, and can be re-used in future publishing.

Steps to Configure Canvas Server
1. Open Respondus 4 Campus-Wide on your Windows PC. Check for update to make sure that your Respondus version is 4.1.0.02 or above.

2. Open the project file you wish to publish. Click on the "Publish" link on the left side, and then click on "Publish Wizard".

3. Select Quiz Type.

4. On the new pop-up window, choose "Add new server" from the drop down list.
NOTE: You only need to configure the server once, and you'll be able to use the same server configuration for future publishing.

5. Select "No, I want to enter the server setting manually."

6. On the "Canvas Server Setting" pop-up window, follow the instructions on the pop-up window.

7. Below is how the configured server setting looks like. Click on "Next" button at the bottom of the Publish Wizard.

8. A new prompt window will request that you "Log into your learning system using the browser window". Click on the "Ok" button.

9. A big browser window will open to prompt you to log into Canvas. Log into Canvas and you'll see a Respondus authorization request window. Click the blue "Authorize" button.

10. Once the authorization is successful, go back to the Respondus prompt window and click on "Ok" button again.

11. Select your options in the Publish Wizard and click on "Next" button.

12. Choose the Canvas course you want to publish to, and click the "next" button.

13. Wait for the Respondus questions to be published to canvas and click the "Finish" button the publishing process is complete.

14. The next time you publish from Respondus 4 to Canvas, you don't need to repeat steps 4-7. In step 4, just select the server you manually configured.
