Argos Single Sign-on

Tags Argos

Introduction

Indiana State University has standardized on the Azure SAML authentication for all Single Sign-On activities on campus.  For the last several years, Argos has relied upon an SSO authentication method known as CAS (Central Authentication Service).  ISU migrated Argos from CAS to a more robust and standardized Azure SAML authentication method on Friday, May 20th.

The following are instructions/description of how to and what to expect when logging into Argos through the ISUPortal using SAML.

Steps

Changes to the single sign-on systems have resulted in an altered form of Argos single sign-on access involving the need to click on a "Use Single Sign-on" button as seen in the following image:

Users who do not see this have likely already authenticated within the single sign-on systems and need not worry about this. Those who do see this should simply click on the button to proceed into the Evisions eLauncher portal to access and execute Argos and other related Evisions products like normal.
