Update Job Title and Professional Picture in ISU Faculty and Staff Directory

Faculty and staff at Indiana State University can update their job title and upload a professional picture to display in ISU Faculty and Staff Directory. The update and upload is done through Faculty Activity Database (FAD). Below is a set of steps to help you access FAD and update your information.

Term Definition
Directory ISU Faculty and Staff Directory
FAD    Faculty Activity Database. It can be accessed from ISU Portal.
Job Title Your ISU job title, such as "Professor", "Lecturer", "Student Advisor", "Provost".
Professional Picture   A picture of yourself to appear in ISU faculty and Staff Directory.

Steps to Access Faculty Activity Database

  1. To access FAD, there is a link in the ISU Apps in the portal for the Faculty Activity Database.

  2. You may be presented with 2 options – select Faculty Success.

Steps to add a professional photo to appear in the directory

  1. Login to FAD from ISU Portal.
  2. Click on Activities.
  3. Click on Personal and Contact Information.
  4. Scroll down to the bottom of the page to where you will see Photograph.
  5. Drag and drop or Select to add your photo from a file.
  6. Click Save in the Upper Right Hand corner of the screen.
  7. It is possible that the photo will not update to the directory until the next day in the directory.

Steps to add your job title

        If you would like your job title to show up in the directory, you need to add it to FAD. 
        Follow the first 3 steps above, then

  1. Scroll down the page until you see Title.
  2. Enter your job title, or faculty rank.
  3. Save.
  4. It is possible the title will not appear until the next day in the directory.

Steps to add your degree (this will show up in Credentials)

        Here is one with and one without degree added.

  1. Login to FAD from ISU Portal.
  2. Go to Activities.
  3. Click on Education.
  4. Click on Add New.
  5. At a minimum, select the correct degree from the pull-down Degree menu, enter the institution where you earned the degree and the date you earned the degree. You can also enter the major.
  6. Save.
  7. It is possible the degree will not appear until the next day in the directory.
