Tickets vs Projects

Introduction

Sometimes, it may be hard to decide on whether a particular effort should be documented as a ticket or a project. The following will offer some guidance on choosing between the two.

Guidance

A ticket is generally standardized work that we handle within the normal scope of our day-to-day jobs.

A project is typically a non-regular effort with specific deliverables that requires planning and multiple resources (usually) over an extended period of time. Normally more than 40 hours of work.
