Summary

This standard prohibits connection of personally-owned components to the ISU-Secure network.

Purpose

This standard is intended to make clear our prohibition against attaching personal communications devices such as personal WiFi hot spots, switches and routers to the ISU enterprise and residential life network.

Application

  • This standard applies to students, faculty, staff, and any others utilizing ISU's enterprise and residential life network.
  • This standard applies to any equipment that may be attached to a network by an individual (e.g. personal access points, personal network switches, personal routers).

Exceptions
