Blackboard Learn - Merge Course Sites

Description 

Blackboard is a powerful online course development, delivery, and management tool. Blackboard provides tools for maintaining grades, creating and grading online quizzes, providing access to course materials, facilitating communication through conferencing and web based chat, managing students and student groups, and exchanging files.

Standard Services and Features 

Upon successful completion of this request, the courses you provide will be merged into one new course site. After the courses are merged, instructors will see a new course. The new course will allow for easier content management and grading. Course copies are optional and allow you to copy a previous terms material directly into the new merged course site.

SLA: You can expect this service to be completed in 1 business day

Constraints/Scope 

  • This service is limited to the instructor of the course.
  • This service is for only one course merge at a time. You will need to complete the form again for an additional course merge request.
  • All course merge request must be submitted prior to the start of each semester.
  • Other Blackboard service requests can be found in the Service Catalog under Academic Tools and Research Support.
  • Blackboard issues should be made through the Blackboard Learn - Report an Issue service page.
  • The request must be received before classes begin. 

Directions

Provide the following information to ensure a timely and successful completion of the service:

  • Course Registration Number (CRN) of the course. (i.e. 201705xxxxx)
  • Course Name and Section Number of the course. (i.e. ENG-101-001)
  • (Optional) Course copy – if you would like a course copy completed please provide the source CRN. 

The requestor will be notified upon completion of the service.
