Blackboard Learn - Report an Issue


Blackboard Learn is an on-line learning environment that is highly configurable and allows for the electronic distribution and management of course assets and assignments.

This service will allow users to report a general issue with Blackboard.

Standard Features

This service will provide resolutions to a general issue you are having with Blackboard. General issues are considered issues that cannot be found in the service catalog,

SLA:  For non-urgent issues you can expect a reply within 2 business hours. Stop Work/Urgent request you can expect a reply within 15 minutes. 


  • This service can be requested by any Indiana State University Blackboard user.
  • For other Blackboard Learn Services requests, such as enrolling users, merging courses, tools etc, see the Academic Tools and Research Support for other services,


When reporting an issue you will need to provide the following information:

  • Course Registration Number (CRN) of the course. (i.e. 201705xxxxx)
  • Course Name and Section Number of the course. (i.e. ENG-101-001)
  • Type of Issue
  • Date/Time of Issue
  • Whether you are on or off campus
  • Type of Internet connection
  • Browser you are using
  • A brief explanation of the issue. Please include things like assessment titles, Internet browser, wireless/wired, date and time of the error, and any troubleshooting steps you may have already done.

The requestor will be notified upon completion of the service. 


First Friday of every month - 8pm - Midnight
