Introduction
Turnitin Clarity is a tool that helps promote academic integrity by providing a transparent writing environment where students can draft assignments and, when enabled by instructors, use AI-assisted support. It gives instructors insight into the writing process, including revision history and AI usage, helping them assess originality and guide responsible AI use.
AI grading and feedback can be done in SpeedGrader and Turnitin dashboard.
Creating a Turnitin Clarity Assignment
- In Course Navigation, Click the Assignments link:

- Click the kebab (three stacked dots) menu and select Turnitin:

3. Click on Clarity

4. Enter the Assignment Title, Instructions, Max Grade, Start Date, Due Date, and Feedback Release Date:

5. Click the following Turnitin Clarity settings to check and boxes for options that apply:

Grading and Feedback Settings

Submission Settings

Report Settings

6. Click Create Assignment

7. The new assignment will display at the bottom of the Assignments list as an unpublished assignment. Click Publish to make it available to students.
