Introduction
Microsoft Teams has the capability for users to define their location that will be used in the event that a 911 call is placed from within Teams. When the location has not been automatically been provided from network connection details, the location must be provided by the Teams user.
This article will help you determine when a location needs to be manually set as well as how to do that.

E911 is a term used to describe the 911 environment where a dynamic location is used for 911 calls rather than traditional static locations.

The location as entered or determined within the Microsoft Teams client.
Procedures
Determine if a location needs to be manually set
- From the Calls section of Teams find the location drop-down box located under the dial pad
- If there is a location in the box, then a location does not need to be entered.
- If there is a location in the box, but it isn't correct, continue on to the next section to edit it.
Set a E911 location
- From the Calls section of Teams find the location drop-down box located under the dial pad
- Click the drop-down box and select Add to add an address, or Edit to edit the location already defined.
