TurnItIn Quick Start Guide

This article will assist faculty and students in understanding the basic functions of TurnItIn.

Steps

Navigating to TurnItIn

1. Open the class you wish to utilize TurnItIn
2. On the left-hand side go under Course Management
3. Click on Course Tools
4. Scroll until you find TurnItIn Assignments
5. You will be presented with the currently set up TurnItIn assignments

Creating an Assignment

1. Go to the area you wish to post the assignment
2. At the top of the page, you should see Assessments
3. From the drop-down menu click on TurnItIn Assignment
4. You should be displayed with 3 different types of assignments

5. Select whichever type of assignment you like. You will then fill out more information for the assignment after clicking Next Step.
