Project Status Reports

Introduction

This article describes how to use the built in Project reports to check status of an individual project and the status of all the projects which you are either (1) a project manager, (2) alternative project management, or (3) a designated team member on a project.

Project Status Report

A project status report is a report that shows the detailed status for a selected project, over a specified period of time.

My Project Status Report

A project status report is a report that shows the detailed status for all the project, which you are a project manager, alternative project manager, or a designated team member.

Preconditions:
  1. You must have access to the Projects application.
  2. To run the "My Project Status Report", you must either be:
    1. Project Manager for at least one project
    2. Alternate Project Manager for at least one project
    3. Be assigned as a resource for at least one project.

Steps

  1. Open the Projects Application in TDNext (Technician View)
    1. In the "Reports" section on the left, select "Status Reports"
    2. Choose one of the following reports

Project Status Report

  1. Select Options:
    1. Date range (required)
    2. Project/Workspace (required)
    3. Report comments (optional)
    4. Check/uncheck the fields you want to show in the report
    5. Click   
  2. Scroll to view the details of the report.

My Project Status Reports

  1. Select Options:
    1. Date range (required)
    2. Select the "Next Period"
    3. Report comments (optional)
    4. Check/uncheck the fields you want to show in the report
    5. Click   
  2. Scroll to view the details of the report.

Conclusion

Running the pre-defined project status reports is quick and the reports will provide you with valuable information on specific projects and projects where you are a project manager, alternate project manager, or a team member.
